The beginning of fall means picking pumpkins with Pairs at the Patch! McMillin Farms in Puyallup hosted us again with a great pumpkin patch, corn maze, play area for little kids, and a brewery. Over 50 people joined us and we met some more twins who were happened to be visiting the patch the same day! TPOM buys each child a sugar pumpkin and usually families bring home more pumpkins, corn, or other festive farm market items. A special congrats to our new members with babies who joined us for their first TPOM event!

This year for our annual board planning meeting we met at our treasurer’s house for half a day. We planned out the events for each month and started booking reservations. As each event’s logistics are finalized, we will send locations and times to our members via our private Facebook page and email from TPOM_Events@tacomamultiples.org. Add our events email to your contact list to make sure update emails don’t go to your spam folder!

The children had a great time hanging out with each other and it was nice seeing some of the parents that we hadn’t been able to connect with in a while. It was a fun and interactive experience from toddlers to tweens. We learned about constellations, planets, and planet 9. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Happy Easter from Tacoma Parents of Multiples! Our families got together two weekends ago for an egg hunt at the Fircrest Tot Lot. This is a great event for all ages, but the playground is geared for younger kids. Kids under 2 years old get to go first, then kids under 4 years old, then everyone else. This way everyone gets some eggs. 😃 Thank you to everyone who donated candy, stickers, tattoos, erasers, and other fun things!

On February 25th, Tacoma Parents of Multiples rented out the historic Blue Mouse Theater to watch a movie for all ages.

We got to enjoy fresh popcorn and not worry about our big families bothering anyone since we all were used to busy kids! Every year there are some kids that wander around because they can’t sit through the whole movie. We had a few toddlers doing that this year and it brings a smile to the face of parents with older kids – because that was how our kids were just a few years ago!

This was our group’s second time visiting McMillin Farms in Puyallup for our Pairs at the Patch event. We had over 40 people attend, from babies to adults! Most of the kids wore costumes and enjoyed seeing what others were dressing up as this year. Each TPOM kid got to take home a sugar pumpkin at the end.

All families brought snacks to share with each other. One family brought a pumpkin loaf for every other family!
