This past weekend, seven families, each with their own set of twins, embarked on an astronomical adventure at the Pierce College Science Dome. Our destination? None other than the heart of the Milky Way during the interactive show, “Journey to the Center of the Galaxy.”
This wasn’t your average sit-back-and-watch affair. It was an interactive experience where the audience gets to steer the ship! The show’s vibrant visuals and engaging storytelling captivated us all. We zoomed past planets and the kids even made a nebula craft to take home!

It wasn’t all just gasps and giggles—there was plenty of learning to be had. The Science Dome’s experts guided us through the latest astronomical insights, answering eager questions from young minds fascinated by black holes and stars. Some kids asked if they really went to space! Parents listened intently, too, proving that you’re never too old to learn something new, especially when it’s about the universe.
The Science Dome’s “Journey to the Center of the Galaxy” was a hit, leaving us all with dreams filled with comets and constellations. Until our next interstellar voyage, we’ll be gazing up at the night sky with newfound appreciation and wonder.
